This gilded bronze plaque shaped medal is by R Brangier. The obverse depicts an eagle with outstretched wings above a countryside scene with mountains in the background and 3 cyclists in the foreground and a 4th cyclist in the mid background. The word "Hutchinson" is stamped across the bottom. Signed "R Brangier".The reverse has a rectangular cartouche with oak & laurel leaves and the words "Offert par le Pneu Hutchinson" above.
The rim is stamped "bronze".
The medal is presented in a rectangular burgundy box with a red silk & velvet interior. The top is printed with "Offert par le Pneu Hutchinson".

Hutchinson Tyres
In 1853 Hiram Hutchinson opened a rubber processing factory at Langlée, near Montargis France.
In 1890 the company started manufacturing bicycle tyres at the factory.
In the early 1920s Hutchinson diversified into many other products but today is the only French bicycle tyre company manufacturing its products in France.
